Bohemian Flowers

I have a manicure "to do" list that's fast approaching five miles long. Complicating matters, I have a Pinterest board of nail art inspiration pics that are constantly cutting the queue. Most recent line-cutter? This adorable "Funky Bohemian" floral, with tutorial, courtesy of The Lacquerologist!

What a cute idea for a pattern, honestly! Dotting and some swooshes here and there, but the sum total is bright and bold, modern, retro, delicate, funky, and awesome. If this print is not on a fabric somewhere, it needs to be.

I tried not to stray too far from the original colours, but there are a few differences (there would have been fewer if I'd sat and read the whole tutorial instead of going, "Ooh, yes! Dotting flower fun time pretty yaaaaaay!" and then spun off into action without planning first, but I'm afraid that will always be how I roll). My lineup includes OPI My Vampire Is Buff, OPI Cajun Shrimp, Sinful Colors Black On Black, Skinfood BL003 Green Bean Milk, Skinfood PK006 Pink Milk, and my Orly Jet Black striper.

I will most definitely be trying this pattern again--thanks so much to The Lacquerologist for such a fun tutorial!

  1. I like the abstract touch of this pattern and the colors are very pretty together!

  2. This is so pretty Elizabeth, I like it a lot!

  3. What a fun floral pattern on the nails! I quite like it.

  4. A long nail art to-do list is definitely a good thing. Although it gets complicated when you're itching to do each and every single one of them equally. In that case, close your eyes and point.

  5. Lovely floral print! I too have a nailart inspiration board at Pinterest, but I rarely ever do them, I have no idea why. I mostly like to stare at them when I'm uninspired for manis lol.

  6. It's a very cute and fun floral print. My Pinterest boars is bursting with nail art inspiration photos nd the list of to-do's keeps getting long ;)

  7. What a cute mani! I love the colors you chose.

  8. I like it! It's so different and interesting to look at.
