Essie Going Incognito

Shifting gears from soft and neutral, I have pics today of a dark and luscious green, Essie Going Incognito...

Essie Going Incognito swatch

Essie Going Incognito is a rich, hunter green creme with just the barest hint of dusty teal; this is three coats under Nubar Diamont Seal & Shine. Essie's formula and I don't always get along, so your mileage may vary, but I found the first coat to be very streaky and prone to pulling, especially for such a dark shade. Depending on your first coat, two may be just fine for most people, but I felt better with a third for the camera.

This is a fantastic green for autumn and winter--and ooh, I just realized what it reminds me of! Fir trees! So yeah, definitely a great green for this time of year. It's nice and rich, but it's also bright enough to stay just this side of vampy. I will definitely be wearing this beauty again!

PS: New blog layout, whee! (^_^)

  4. I love the color of this one! Mine was pretty running and needed three coats too. It wanted to flood my cuticles, but oh man it is so worth the hassle, it is so pretty!
