Strawberry Rose Nail Art

I recently hit up the arts supply store for some new acrylic paints, which I celebrated by doing some rose nail art in strawberry pink. True story!

My base colour for these flower nails is OPI Don't Talk Bach to Me, a shimmery chartreuse that I'm still just crazy about (I've used it as a flower nail art base before). The flowers are, as I mentioned, acrylic paints. I went a little more nuts than usual with them this time, adding both extra highlights and extra shading...I think that happened because I finally got one of my paintbrushes cut down to a good size that I feel comfortable with for detailing.

I still can't draw a circle or a straight line to save my life, but I do love to swoosh me up some roses!

  4. These are SO fun!! DTBTM is in my top 10 most favorite polishes of all time, maybe even top 5! There's something about it, it's chartreuse-y but dirty and one of those "ugly" colors, I just love it!

  8. If some day somebody gets the idea to force you to draw a circle or a straight line to save your life, ask him if you could draw some roses instead.... and he will surely let you live, a long long time!!! :-) These roses are perfect! :-) I like the base colour too, but at the moment I see only roses... :-)

  10. I don't think I'd like this color by itself, but I love how you're using it as a base! Great job on the roses :)
