butter LONDON Slapper

I started coveting butter LONDON Slapper the minute I first laid online eyes on it, but much to my perpetual sorrow, the only place I know here that carries bL just never seemed to have it. Fortunately my Stateside plans this summer included a night at my awesome cousin's house. My cousin who lives within striking distance of two Ulta stores, even! I absolutely ransacked those joints--ransacking that began with a beeline for the butter LONDON rack, to get my hands on Slapper at long, glorious last.

Uuuummph, this polish is so pretty!! I wore it at the end of last week and still didn't feel like my nails were really back yet from all the repeated breaks. I've been kinda bummed, just so tired of waiting for them to grow out and even already, and I thought about saving Slapper for later. So, SO glad I decided to go ahead, because this fabulous colour totally cheered me up! And then I did some nail art the next day that went horribly wrong and bummed me out all over again, but that's a terrible diversion, so I'm gonna rewind to the part where Slapper is full-on awesome.

The formula, honestly, was just fantastic. Great opacity in two easy coats. Ridiculous pigmentation and vibrant colour that was even richer and more striking than I'd hoped. I waited a long time to meet butter LONDON Slapper in person, and she was well worth the wait. Such a rare treat when something not only meets but blows away your expectations!

  1. Oh man, that really is gorgeous. I love those punch-in-the-face-bright turquoise/teal colours!
Did this one stain your nails?

  2. Such a pretty colour!! I want a shade similar, the bL is too much for me and I'm not a fan of the name (I know some love it) but it's so great, need to find a dupe :)

  5. Teal polish is one of my weaknesses (that and fuchsia - toned glitters). Slapper is hands down my favorite AND one of my all-time favorite polishes in general. My bottle is half empty I use it so much!
