Skinfood BL003 with Party of Five Glitters

One year ago today omgnoodles posted this manicure, landing WnW Party of Five Glitters on my WL, igniting my love of matte glitter sandwiches, and sending me on the hunt for Skinfood polishes in one fell swoop. I mean, seriously. Milky, minty creme; sweet, white glitter; rainbow awesomeness; jelly sandwich; matte top coat...all in one manicure?! Clutch the pearls!

Where Pauline's was an evolving manicure, I built my copycat mani straight up, substituting a couple of the polishes. The base was Skinfood BL003, and I used a coat of OPI Pirouette My Whistle, then one of Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters. Over those went OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! (which definitely brought out the minty side of BL003), with Essie Matte About You top coat.

Maybe it's the different white glitter or the lack of coats in-between, but I don't think I quiiiite captured the milky, sugary softness of the original. Still, I love! I haven't been wearing nearly as much glitter these days as I used to, given my recent obsession with nail art. Gotta remember to show my glitters some love too!
