Kalahari Zebra Stripe Nail Art

Now that I've done a crazy, spotted poison frog, I thought it was time to try my hand at a saner, hopefully simpler animal pattern and give zebra stripe nails a try.

With China Glaze Kalahari Kiss already on my nails, I just grabbed a white nail art striper and went for it. It turned out to be easier than I expected! All I did was take turns painting from each direction, sometimes splitting the line like a fork in the road, and just trying not to leave any big gaps between stripes.

Kalahari Kiss is such a pretty, banana-beige colour, and I thought, "Safari collection? Zebra stripes? Why not?" But now that I look at it, the combination could also pass for "wood grain." Maybe next time I'll put a little actual planning into things, but every now and then it's fun to leap without looking. ^_^

    1. Thank you so much! I was worried the neutral might not look 'zebra' enough, but I'm happy it came out okay. :)

    1. Thank you, Cordia! I'm still all thumbs with stamping, but the striper was relatively easy to work with. I need to get so many more striper colours now!

    1. Aw, thank you, Brandi! I'm so into Kalahari Kiss. Maybe next time I'll try adding a couple of knots in there and see if I can do 'wood grain' on purpose. ;o)

    1. Thank you so much! I'm afraid it it'd been a stamp, it would be all smudgey and patched--I'm still horrible at stamping. >_<

    1. Thanks very much! Fortunately, with zebra stripes, the striping brush itself does half the work for you, so it's a great one to practice with. ;)
