Weekend Haul of Awesomeness

I got the call on Friday that the new OPI Spider-Man polishes were in, which meant it was time to go nail shopping! I came away with my two absolute must-haves from this collection, Just Spotted the Lizard & My Boyfriend Scales Walls, as well as some of my other OPI wish listers!

I was so excited to see the Zoya Beach and Surf collections in person at last and couldn't resist grabbing several of them (not that I tried especially hard...). I also scored their last bottle of Zoya's beautiful, orange flakie, Chloe!

A couple more of the Hunger Games polishes by China Glaze were still in stock (no joy on Luxe and Lush--I was way too slow!). With all these finds, plus a few more couldn't-resists, this was easily my most awesome nail shopping trip ever.

I came home downright giddy with delight--seriously, I just wanted to spread them out on the floor and roll around on all the pretty colours. I restrained myself, though. Just barely. (^_-)

Coming soon: swatches and more swatches!

    1. Haha, there was bouncing, there was giggling...seriously, I felt like a little kid at Christmas (even if I was my own Santa this time ;p).

    1. It's Turquoise & Caicos, and it's very pretty on! A little thin, though, so I've layered it over a pale white. I should have a swatch up soon!

    1. I got a little distracted the past couple of days with making a new layout, but I should have the first Hunger Games swatch up in just a little bit. Hope you enjoy it! :)

  4. Ugh, super jealous of that Zoya haul. Are they the same price over there?

    1. I was really lucky they had so many still in stock (popular new collections can sell out quickly, and it's not like there are a lot of other places to go when they're gone)! Zoya's a couple dollars more expensive here than in the US, but I do get a little bit of a store discount for being a member. Even if I didn't, though, I figure it'd still be cheaper than ordering the polish + shipping from somewhere else.

    1. Fortunately I'd over-warned my husband about the size of the impending haul, so he was relieved it wasn't any worse than this. ;)

    1. I wore it for the first time last night, and I couldn't stop staring at my nails! I actually wore beige & turquoise top to go with, too...because I'm just that big of a dork. ;)

    1. Thanks for following, Marcelina! I'll be right over for a visit! :)

JStL looked so ridiculously cool on, but of course I had to go and mess it up before I could take good pictures. I'll definitely be using it again soon!

    1. Hi Hannie! I actually did a post just a little while ago about where I find polishes here--if you're interested, you can see it here: http://didmynails.blogspot.com/2012/05/where-to-buy-nail-polish-in-hong-kong.html

But long story short, I got all of these at the Cher2 in Central. ;)
